Product Review ~ imPress Manicure

Broadway Nails imPRESS Press-on Manicure

As you have probably seen from other product review posts in the past, I am a InfluensterInfluenster has recently given me the opportunity to try out and review Broadway imPress Manicure.

In the mail from Influenster, I received 24 imPress Manicure Press-on Nail VoxBox in two designs.  These nails are so easy to apply and take off.  As a bonus, they only take a few minutes too!  After 10 days of wearing them, they still look brand new.  I was very excited to see that the nails came in various sizes so if you don’t have the “normal” size hands/nails than you wouldn’t need to be concerned.  One things that really stuck out was that these nails weren’t very long which as a personal preference, I’m fine with but for some, it may be too short.  Another issue that was alright to me but might not be for others is the imPress Manicure press-on nails are quite thick which took a little bit of getting use to when typing.

In summary, I was quite impressed with this at home press-on nails.  I would highly recommend trying #imPressManicure and look forward to trying out new designs.

Sesame Dressing Recipe

Here’s a great Japanese restaurant in the city I live in and I absolutely love the sesame sauce that they serve with the steak and rice.  I’ve been on the lookout for a comparative, yet easy, recipe and this is the closest that I’ve come.  It’s sooo good and just in time for BBQ and salad season!

What You Will Need:

-   1 Tbsp of minced garlic
-   1 Tbsp of minced ginger
-   6 Tbsp of soy sauce
-   1 Tbsp of rice wine vinegar
-   1 Tbsp of sesame oil
-   1 Tbsp of sugar
-   3/4 tsp of red pepper flakes
-   2 Tbsp of mayonnaise
-   1/4 cup of vegetable oil

What You Will Need to do:
Place all the ingredients into a blender and mix well.  Enjoy!

Product Review ~ Herbal Essence New Line "Naked"

Herbal Essences Naked

I’m back again with another campaign through  I was one of the lucky people to try the try Herbal Essence New Line "Naked" for free.  Herbal Essences Naked claims to be a formula that is free of silicones, parabens and dyes but doesn’t withhold the revitalizing aromas of grapefruit and mossa mint oil.  The package that I received contained shampoo, conditioner, mousse and soufflé.  After a week of using the “Naked” line of products, I came to a few conclusions as follows:

As I lathered my hair, the smell was absolutely amazing.  Not overpowering at all but a calming yet awakening scent all at the same time.  The perfect way to start your day off.  I wouldn't have thought that the combination of grapefruit and mossa mint oil aromas would pair together well but they sure did.  Herbal Essences Naked Volume shampoo and conditioner had done just what it claimed to do.  My hair felt so nice after using the shampoo and conditioner, it has a great shine and feels so clean, healthy, soft and touchable.  For most people, that is exactly what you’re looking for, however, when you have naturally curly hair like me, not so much.  Since these products clean my hair so well, it made my curly hair much frizzier than it usually is.  I ended up placing some of the soufflé that I received in the package on my hair to try and control the frizz.  Without a doubt, the soufflé did helped my frizz but in the end, I found that it weighed my hair down, even with hardly putting any of the product on my hair.  I tried placing the soufflé on my hair when it was wet and dry but it didn't seem to change the outcome of the product on my hair.  However, when I straightened my hair, I used the soufflé and thought I worked like a dream.  It was so much easier to straighten my hair and left my hair feeling and looking smooth.  I love the idea of the bottles being clear so you can see how much of the product is actually inside.  It is definitely fitting with the whole “Naked” concept.

In the end, for my hair type being curly, I would definitely buy Herbal Essence New Line "Naked" again.  However, I wouldn't replace my usual shampoo and conditioner with it.  This is something I would use a few times a month to get rid of all the buildup on my hair and to start off fresh and new.  As for the soufflé, I will definitely be using it every time I straighten my naturally curly hair.

The Influenster and L’Oreal Mystery Voxbox is…Garnier Fructis Damage Eraser

As mentioned in a previous post, I was one of the luck people to have received a complimentary #MysteryBrand Voxbox from Influenster and very excited about the situation, I might add!

The products I tried were consistent and my first observations stand…I am absolutely enjoying the smell of the products.  It’s quite refreshing.  I’m surprised that I can already feel the difference in my hair.  It feels so much lighter and healthier, like it has washed away all of the product buildup.  At this point in time, I still didn’t notice a difference with my split ends, however, I think something like that would take a bit longer to work.

I had originally thought the Mystery products was L’Oreal’s Everstrong but I was definitely wrong about that.  It is the Garnier Fructis Damage Eraser by @GarnierCan.  I was pleasantly surprised that it was a #fructis product because they are so reasonably priced.  In the end, I don’t know if I’ve made a full switch, however, I would definitely use the Garnier Fructis Damage Eraser line of products again and were switch between this and my other usual salon brand that I use.  I would highly recommend use these products to everyone!

Mystery Voxbox Time with Influenster and L’Oreal

I was one of the luck people to have received a complimentary #MysteryBrand Voxbox from Influenster and very excited about the situation, I might add!

Influenster is an invite only online community where you can review products, share on social networks and receive badges. The higher your social score, the more chance there is for being eligible for free samples, Voxboxes, etc.

In this cute little box I received a total of three sample bottles that contained a shampoo, conditioner and a serum for split ends.  As you can see from the picture, you aren’t made aware of what L’Oreal line of products that it is.  The only thing I know is that it's for distressed, damaged hair which is definitely something for me. For one week, I’m required to use these hair products and then the following week, I’ll receive another cute little box from Influenster which will contain full size bottles of the products and I will be made award of L’Oreal product line it is.

So far, I’ve tried the three bottles twice.  I am absolutely enjoying the smell of the products.  It’s quite refreshing.  I’m surprised that I can already feel the difference in my hair.  It feels so much lighter and healthier, like it has washed away all of the product buildup.  At this point in time, I haven’t noticed a difference with my split ends, however, I think something like that would take a bit longer to work.

Stay tuned to see my further findings on this exciting mystery box!

Montagne Jeunesse Clay Spas Review

I’m pleased to introduce to you the Montagne Jeunesse new range of skincare face masks.  I’m so excited to have had the opportunity given to me to do so complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes!

I did enjoy trying the clay mask as it didn't drip or make a mess.  I found that the mask was a bit too large for my face which made it difficult to apply and/or adjust.  I was shocked of the results of the mask as it made my skin feel so good afterwards.  I wasn't expecting a whole lot from a home mask so this was a pleasant surprise.

The mask was not overly scented, actually quite subtle.  This is a perfect way to relax at home, especially something that I'm sure is overdue since the holidays.

Another benefit is that all Montagne Jeunesse products are vegetarian-approved, made from natural ingredients & paraban-free.

Check out what other people are saying about Montagne Jeunesse by could to there Facebook Page, follow them on  TwitterPinterest or purchase a mask right away and to learn more click HERE.

Homemade Miracle Whip Recipe

This is a recipe to make homemade Miracle Whip which I think is arguably better than store bought.

What you will need:
-   3 large egg yolks at room temperature
-   2 Tbsp white wine vinegar
-   2 Tbsp honey
-   1 tsp salt
-   1 Tbsp Dijon mustard
-   1 3/4 cups light olive oil

What you will need to do:
1.   In the bowl beat the egg yolks until they are thick and sticky.
2.   Add the vinegar, honey, salt and mustard.  Continue to beat for about a minute.
3.  Very slowly add the oil while continuing to mix.  Be patient on this step to get the best tasting Miracle Whip.  It’s best to add only 1 Tbsp at a time.
